In today’s episode of the Mind Set Game podcast, I sat down with Rhy Jones.

In 2012, after only 3 years of taking part competitively, Rhys was selected to represent Great Britain for the first time at the London 2012 Paralympics and become a British Paralympic sprinter. In 2013, he was selected to represent Great Britain once again at the IPC World Championships in Lyon, France. In 2014, Rhys was selected to represent Wales at the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow and Great Britain at the IPC Athletics European Championships in Swansea. Mind Set Game #41: Be mindful with Dr Denise McDermott

On today’s episode of the Mind Set Game Podcast, I sat down with Dr Denise McDermott.

Denise has been in private practice in Southern California since 2001. She completed her Adult Psychiatry residency at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia, and her Child Psychiatry residency at UCLA. As a medical doctor with board certifications in both Adult and Child Psychiatry, she treats children, adolescents and adults. Her goal is to empower you, your child, and your family to live the best life possible. Her approach is to encourage people to believe in wellness, not illness, and to lead a balanced healthy lifestyle.

Denise utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to medicine, where she integrates her western medicine psychiatric training using the Bio/Psycho/Social framework coupled with a Spirit/Mind/Body approach for mental health treatment of the whole person.

Denise summarises the episode in these words: “Be mindful of how your thoughts, words and actions affect your own individual health and the health of others.”

Mind Set Game #33: Qaddafi’s point guard with Alex Owumi

In today’s episode of the Mind Set Game, I sat down with Alex Owumi.

Alexander William O. Owumi is a Nigerian professional basketball player and author. Owumi became the subject of widespread media attention following his time with the Libyan team Al-Nasr owned by the family of Muammar Gaddafi joining the team shortly before the outbreak of the Libyan Civil War in 2011. He currently plays for the Surrey Scorchers of the British Basketball League (BBL). As an author, he has written three books, including an autobiography focusing on his time in Libya.
